Options and opportunity await your child in Dearborn Public Schools

Great Start Readiness Program Purpose- To provide familes and children with a high-quality preschool program. To engage children in school readiness activities and provide opportunities for social and emotional development. To promote the active involvement of parents in program planning and implementation.

Enrollment Requirements- Students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1st of enrolled year. Families must be Dearborn city residents. Documentation of annual income is required and families must meet established criteria as identified by the State of Michigan.

Program Description- It is the mission of Dearborn GSRP to provide preschool children with learning experiences that establish a foundation for lifelong learning by following the HighScope curriculum and other district curriculum.

Parents with a child turning 4 years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year, can obtain an application at the Student Services Department, 18400 Audette, Dbn. 48124 or at the following locations that house GSRP classrooms:

  • Cotter Early Childhood Center
  • Becker Elementary
  • Long Elementary
  • McCollough Elementary
  • McDonald Elementary
  • Oakman Elementary
  • River Oaks Elementary
  • Salina Elementary
  • Salina Intermediate
  • Whitmore-Bolles Elementary
  • William Ford Elementary

GSRP Preschool is a free full day program for children who qualify for entry according to State of Michigan guidelines.
